Art for the Office

Check out my new print that arrived a while ago from MadeByGirl (who, by the way, is one of my fave bloggers).

This print (which happens to be displayed in one of my recent antique store purchases) makes me happy for a number of reasons. It’s playful. It’s simple. The colors look terrific in my office. And I love the message because I do, in fact, love blogs and tea.

Plus it raises a grammatical question for me, and I love a good grammatical question.

By displaying this print in my office, am I saying that I love three things: you, blogs, and tea? Or am I speaking directly to blogs and tea (the “you”) and telling them that I love them? It’s quite a dilemma.

Either way, I know I love blogs, tea, and this print. If you do too, you can buy one here.

Which reminds me … you know what else makes me incredibly happy? Ordering items made by creative folks doing what they love. Artists who don’t have a mission to take over the world, artists who just want to create. And artists who recognize the value of a handwritten, personalized thank-you note to go along with even the smallest of purchases.

Now that’s business.
