Music on Repeat

What music gets you through the day? Any songs or albums you put on repeat and listen to over and over again?

Lately when I'm working I keep gravitating back to a few of my new (well, newer ... I'm not much of a music trendsetter) favorites:

Adele, 19
The Juno Soundtrack
Feist, The Reminder
A Fine Frenzy, One Cell in the Sea
Lisa Hannigan, Sea Sew (on a side note, isn't her cover terrific?)

Mostly lovely, mellow girly singers, yes. But there's a bit soul in some of these albums and some fun on others—just right for getting through a long day.

I'm up for recommendations though. What should I download next? Pick a genre, any genre. I'm game.

I haven't seen the movie even, but I bought the Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack on a whim. LOVE it.

Have you listened to Kathleen Edwards? Given your penchant for chick music, you might like her, though she's a bit country/folkish, not sure how you feel about that. You might have heard her single "Back to Me," which got played quite a bit on CMT a few years back. Try "In State," "Hockey Skates," "Six O'Clock News" to start.

Ooh, thanks for the recommendations.

I have not seen Slumdog either but it's on my to-watch list.

And Kathleen Edwards doesn't ring a bell. I will have to check her out. I don't mind a bit of country/folk once in a while. I will report back!

Lately I can't stop listening to Tristan Prettyman's album Hello. You should definitely give her a try! I'd list some of my favorite songs from it, but I think I've cycled through every single one as a fav.
